7302A001AA, BTI-CNNB2L, DDNB-2L, NB-2L, NB-2LH Replacement Battery for Canon Digital Camera

7302A001AA, BTI-CNNB2L, DDNB-2L, NB-2L, NB-2LH Replacement Battery for Canon Digital Camera: PowerShot S30, PowerShot S40, PowerShot S45, PowerShot S50, PowerShot S60, PowerShot S70

First of all we must distinguish between two types of cameras: Digital Cameras and SLR Professional cameras.

If you want a decent camera that you will use to take pictures within the family, holiday pictures or simply even taking pictures of items to list on eBay, then a digital camera is for you. It is small, compact and at just the right price range for the average man/woman.

If you are in the media however, a professional photographer or take up photography as a hobby, SLR Professional cameras are for you. These are much bigger, better in quality but far more expensive than your average digital camera on the high street.

What to look for when choosing the right camera for you:

I have just differentiated the two major types of camera, but what do you want to look out for to suit your needs. In the following text, you will be able to figure out the right type of camera for yourself.

PIXEL RESOLUTION:

Pixels are actually tiny dots on a digital image that make up the picture. Basically, the higher the number of pixels in your image, the better the quality. This is because the camera is able to fit more detail into the image since there is a higher spacial capacity for the pixels to fit into. This will also enable you to enlarge your image to higher pixel dimensions without creating a pixelated image (when the image is enlarged to a point that the pixels cannot fit into each allotted space so it becomes blurry). For people using digital cameras 4-7MP cameras would be a reasonably good size of Megapixels. However for SLR Professional cameras you'd be looking at about 10MP+. Obviously the more megapixels in a camera, the higher the cost.

LCD SCREEN:

The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen allows the photographer to view the picture he/she has taken straight away to check if the picture needs to be retaken. It also acts as a viewfinder for the photographer so they don't have to look through the actual viewfinder. For a digital camera, they vary from 1.5-2.5 inches but on a SLR Professional they usually start from 2.5 inches and the screen size increases.

OPTICAL ZOOM:

This enables the photographer to zoom in on an object without any loss of picture quality. Depending on the magnification number, you can zoom in more. For a digital camera, the optical zoom is on average 3.0-5.0 (odd cases of special digital cameras have an optical zoom of 6.0-10.0, but are in the region of 350). SLR Professional cameras go from 6.0+.

DIGITAL ZOOM:

This feature enables the photographer to zoom in on the centre of the picture removing the edges of the image (on PC). However, depending on the MP resolution of your camera, the image can become fuzzy so be careful. Digital cameras can easily vary on average from 2.0-8.0 and the same range for the SLR Professionals, except some will exceed 8.0. The higher the zoom the better the camera.

AUDIO & MOVIE CAPTURE:

This allows you to record sounds and moving images at the same time, in exactly the same way as a camcorder does. Some cameras even contain a facility that enables them to play the video footage on TV from the camera, so all can watch in a better picture quality. This comes both on digital and SLR Professional cameras.

IMAGE STABILISATION:

This feature enables the photographer to capture still images of something moving very fast, such as a cheetah. The camera is able to freeze the picture within those milliseconds of time to create a clear quality picture image. You can also use this feature in low light conditions. Both types of camera usually have this feature.

MEMORY:

Cameras either have internal memory, memory card slots or both. Different cameras have different sizes of internal memory and are able to use different types of memory cards. The types of memory cards are important because this will tell you what type of memory card is need to expand on the existing internal memory. Digital and SLR Professional cameras contain between 8-96MB of internal memory but the memory cards that you can buy to expand the memory capacity vary between 16MB-2GB(2048MB).

PRINTING:

Nowadays you can buy special printers, depending on the compatibility of your camera, to print off your pictures without connecting it to a PC. This applies both for digital and SLR Professional cameras.

Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras

Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM lens offers the highest possible optical quality with no change in aperture over the focal range of the lens. This allows photographers to set exposure at the widest aperture and zoom all the way through to 200mm without having to decrease shutter speed. Developed for use with a Canon SLR camera, this autofocus telephoto zoom lens offers optimized use with the Canon EOS series digital cameras. Of particular note, Canon has introduced an image stabilizer (IS) that adjusts to meet the demands of professional photography.
IS reduces dramatically the image blur caused by camera shake. Gyro sensors detect unwanted vibrations, triggering the corresponding movement of a correcting lens group perpendicular to the optical axis. This alters the light path, returning the image to its correct position on the sensor or film plane. For shooting immobile subjects, Mode 1 corrects for movement in the image along both the horizontal and vertical axes. For shooting while panning horizontally to follow a moving subject, Mode 2 turns off vertical correction and prevents the effect of dragging the subject back through the frame.
The lens' Ring-type USM employs ultra-sonic frequency vibrations to drive auto focus with unrivalled speed and near-silent operation. A powerful CPU and improved AF algorithm contribute to speed performance. The EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM includes distance metering information, providing compatibility with the E-TTL II flash system of late model cameras such as the EOS-1D Mark II, EOS-1Ds Mark II, EOS 5D and EOS 400D. When used in conjunction with Canon's range of EX Speedlite flash units, the lens passes distance information to the flash algorithm for markedly improved flash exposure metering. Includes Lens hood and soft pouch
Customer Review: It's an L lens. What else do you need to know?
If you know anything about L lenses, you know they are expensive. This is an entry level model. There is something about twisting silky smooth lens rings that is very pleasant. If you want to twist plastic, open peanut butter jars.
Customer Review: I LOVE this lens!
For five years, I owned a Canon Rebel and used a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS for my telephoto lens needs. Honestly, I was never thrilled with the quality of the photos that came from that combination of camera and lens. My 2 week trip to Greece & Turkey last spring gave me the incentive to finally upgrade my camera (to a Canon 40D) and get better glass. Yes, it was time to buy my first L-series lenses. So I bought both this lens and the 24-70mm f/2.8L. As they say, "It's all about the glass," and I am here to tell you that 'they' are RIGHT! As I go through the many photos I took on my trip, I am thrilled by what I am seeing. The quality (in terms of detail, sharpness, color, etc.) is lightyears ahead of what I've been experiencing. WHY did I wait so long??! The cost, of course. It can be challenging to fork out over $1000 for a lens. Only you can decide if it's worth it for you. I also looked carefully at the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L, with and without the image stabilization, and I narrowed it down to these factors: - IMAGE STABILIZATION - In my opinion, Image Stabilization is a MUST for a telephoto zoom like this. Camera shake is death to the quality of a photo, and once you get over 100mm in length it's hard to avoid completely. Who wants to carry a tripod everywhere you go and/or be severely limited in low-light conditions? - COST - To get the f/2.8L with IS, you're looking at $1700. Yikes. This lens is 1/3 less. - WEIGHT - The f/2.8L is obviously a gorgeous lens, but it's also significantly larger and heavier than the f/4L - increasing the need for image stabilization and/or frequent use of a tripod. I wanted more of a walk-around lens, so the lighter weight of the f/4L along with the fine IS capabilities meets my needs quite nicely. And now that I am seeing the results, I couldn't be happier. The quality is STUNNING, including the sharpness, the color density, and the detail in the highlights and shadows. I only wish I would have bought it sooner and saved myself years of frustration while taking photos with mediocre glass.

Customer Review: Great Job!!
First off, I'm a complete amateur, I didn't realize the benefit in an external flash until a couple of weeks ago when i was at a in-door wedding , the professional photographer had a high end flash for her Canon 5D. By chance a few of the photo's i snapped on my XSI were captured with the flash from the pro and those were the best shots in my batch of photos, i was sold. Anyway, after using this flash for the past week, i am very satisfied with the major improvement in the quality of my indoor shots. The good thing is, is that i have no idea what the difference is between this and the Canon version. The canon's looks nicer and it's probably better built. However for the money spent i'm lovin' it, i can take indoor shots that look great, just bounce the shots off the ceiling or walls.
Customer Review: Cheap, but Good enough
I dig it. as a semi-professional this works very well for me...it does look funny on my XTI (its huge in comparison to the camera). The recycle time with the Batteries supplied in this packages is awesome. For the most part once it charges i can shoot continuously. The flash seems bright enough to cover a fair amount of space at ISO 100, so i assume that at higher ISO it will cover a massive area. The diffuser is wonderful(then again its just plastic) Speaking of plastic this whole Flash is plastic and you need to be careful with the hot-shoe connector or you will strip the threads. What can i say, for $100 you cant go wrong with the one.

I have found that more and more photobuyers are realizing the benefits the Internet affords them for photo research. We talk with ten to 20 photobuyers each day. As more and more computer-literate photo editors come on board who know how to utilize the Web, photographers will flourish.

The automobile, airplane, and the telephone launched huge leaps in communication among peoples of the world, and so do the capabilities of the new Internet delivery system. But the Internet goes even farther. It affords independent photographers the delivery power that was once the domain only of the large stock photo agencies.

As a photographer, now that your images can be both pre-viewed and transmitted electronically, you can open the curtain on a brand new horizon of opportunity for yourself.

The top dog major stock agencies are no longer, well, top dogs. In the past, creative persons, whether songwriters, musicians, photographers, filmmakers, etc., had no way of competing against the middleman agents. It was near impossible to break into the ranks and get the attention of the buyers directly.

The World Wide Web has changed all of this. For example, if a major publisher is producing a book, CD, magazine article, Web review, TV special, on agricultural growth of cucumbers in Venezuela, there would be no reason to turn to a large digital stock agency to seek the needed images. Using web search engine efficiency, a buyer can, in minutes, locate photos from independent freelancers, and save money by eliminating the middleman.

Also important, images from a corporate stock agency would usually be 'generic' in commercial style (smiling, contented farm workers (usually models), shiny new equipment, clean landscapes, etc.) This type of photo isnt the primary choice of most editorial buyers, who want real-life, on-the-scene images.

THE AGE FACTOR

Furthermore, many agency images would be at least 6 to 12 months old. (It takes that long for the corporate bureaucracy at most major stock photo agencies to acquire, edit, catalog, and process a single image.)

The individual stock photographer not only has more recent photos, but can in fact, within hours, produce the needed photo and deliver it to the buyer, in high resolution, from anywhere in the world, to anywhere in the world.

Independent photographers are able to use key words, plus the power of search engines such as Google, to offer delivery speed to buyers. Photobuyers are realizing it's to their advantage to deal directly with independent stock photographers.

It's Time To Really Get Going With Digital Photography

In order to be a photographer, you must be able to make decisions, not simply point a camera and press a button. Photography can be an important activity as it can help people, adults and children, understand what the media projects every day. Besides that, it is a good hobby, and photography can help people understand the world around them, especially through someone else's eyes. It is a great way to bring together a community project as well.

One has to be very careful when handling a camera, otherwise you can leave fingerprints on the optics of it. The problem with fingerprints on the optics is that your pictures won't turn out as clear in some parts as they could. In order for peak performance, and clear pictures, make sure you clean your camera all over regularly with the right cloth and solution. Not all cleaning products work on the optics, such as tissue paper, fingers, saliva, or household cleaning solutions. Only use what you can get at a camera store.

The autofocus of most cameras has a two-step shutter release. Pressing the button down half-way locks the focus of the picture, and pressing it down all the way takes the picture. Depressing the shutter only half-way allows you to select what part of the picture you would like to be clearly focused; after holding the button halfway down, you can move the picture so that the subject is where you want it to be and yet is still focused. Always press the button gently, not jerkingly, so as not to move the camera too much from the frame and composition.

Depth of field is all the objects in the foreground and the background around the subject of your photo, and they will be in focus as well as your subject. The focusing distance and the size of the image, as well as the aperture you're using, can change the way depth of field is perceived. The larger the aperture, the smaller the depth of field. For example, if you move closer to your subject, the depth of field would decrease. If you move farther away, or use a smaller aperture, the depth of field would decrease.

One aspect of taking a pleasing photograph is depth of field. When you look at a picture, you will notice that all the area surrounding the focused subject is also focused. This area is called depth of field. In order to change the way the depth of field in a picture is seen, focused, and lit, you must change the width of your lens. The wider the lens is, the smaller the depth of field will be. To decrease the depth of field you can also move closer to your subject. To increase it, you can use a smaller lens or move further away from your subject.

To take a successful landscape picture, you want the whole thing to be in focus. You'll want the focal length to be as short as possible, to create a greater depth of field. You can use the rule of thirds to create a balance between land and sky. Also, having a subject, such as an object in the foreground, might give a better sense of dimensionality. When photographing water, you will want to use a slow shutter speed, giving the impression of water flowing, and when photographing the sea, add a polarizing filter and give the water a transparency effect.

In order to take a panoramic picture, you must have a tripod. Set your camera on the tripod and make sure that it can swivel smoothly only left and right; you don't want it to go tilt up and down. If this happens, your resulting picture will not look right. You'll have to mentally note where the edges of your picture are, so that you can know where to overlap the next ones. Keeping the tripod planted in the same place, swivel the camera to one side, left or right, and take a second picture overlapping part of your first shot. Continue to do this until you have all the pictures you want. To put them all together, all you have to do is use a basic graphics or picture editing program to put them all in the right order, and you will have a panoramic picture!

Customer Review: Best Invention Ever!!!
This is the best thing I have ever bought!!! It didn't fog up at all!! My camera fit perfectly and it was so easy to switch between pictures and video. The pictures came out so clear.
Customer Review: Works great!
I recently bought this case along with the SD850 camera for a trip to Peurto Rico. I never had the chance to try it in the ocean, as my camera was stolen on day 3, but I was able to try out the camera/housing in the pool at our hotel. The case is easy to load and unload, and all your camera functions are usable underwater. It even records sound underwater! The only downside is that unless you know the camera controls, you'll have a hard time reading the VERY faint embossed tags on the case itself$acqnocker to remind you what the controls are, but I never found a good place to put it. All in all, a very good case, highly recommended. I did not have a chance to try out the flash diffuser.

Battery for Canon Digital Camera: Digital IXUS: 200a, 300, 300a, 320, 330, 400, 430, 500, V, V2, V3, 200A, 300A IXY Digital: 200, 200a, 300, 300a, 320, 400, 430, 500, S200, S230, S330 PowerShot: S100, S110, S200, S230, S300, S330, S400, S410, S500, S100, S300

Purchasing a digital camera is a wise decision, particularly if you take a lot of pictures and you want to control how they are developed. Camera prices continue to plummet and Americans are exchanging their 35mm cameras for digital devices at a record pace. The choices for you can seem endless, but with careful comparison shopping you can bring home a bargain! The following online sites provide visitors with helpful information to make an informed decision:

BizRate.Com Visitors to this site will find out all the information they need as the site offers excellent price comparison of the various camera models available. In addition, visitors submit their own product comments which can be a huge help as you decide which model to purchase. Detailed information about the various products available is also online to make your visit rich and informative. Finally, visitors rank the stores too!

PriceGrabber.Com What was said of BizRate.Com can be said of Price Grabber. Plenty of site reviews for you to read too!

MySimon.Com Another in a series of online comparison stores. You might not find it as user friendly since you may have to dig for some of the information. Still, they offer the same information as Biz Rate and Price Grabber. Certainly, My Simon is worth a closer look!

Maybe online purchasing is not your desire. Perhaps you would prefer to purchase your camera at a local store? If so, use the three sites above to do all your research and then go to your local Best Buy, Circuit City, or other digital camera retailer and see what they have to offer. Each of the big retailers has nice web sites and they run weekly specials that may or may not be picked up by the comparison sites. A big plus: you get to go to the store and get a hands on feel for the camera and talk to a knowledgeable salesperson. Returns are easier too if purchased at a local retailer.

Still, not sure you should purchase a digital camera? Lets look at three important advantages of owning a digital camera:

1. Pictures are available to you instantly. You can preview your picture; if you dont like the picture you took, you can erase it and take another picture.

2. Good resolution. If you are taking 3x5 or 4x6 pictures, your pictures will turn out to be sharp. If you are a photographer, you will still need the 35mm camera for 8x10 shots. Digital is improving, but the resolution isnt quite on par with 35mm cameras when it comes to larger pictures.

3. Eliminate development costs. No more running down to the local drugstore for picture development. You can do it all from your computer; there are now some excellent photo printing machines you can purchase that will print out crisp photos at a low cost to you.

All in all, the digital camera revolution is exploding. Join in by shopping the web for great bargains!

Customer Review: Its OK
Well this lens is cheap (as we can see from the price). There is a reason for that. This lens is noisy, I didn't know a lens could make my pictures get noisier, but this one does. Shooting at ISO 100 I was getting noise equal to shooting on ISO 800 with an XTi. I do most of my shooting for the internet so it's not too big of a deal, but if I were to shoot with this lens for print, I would not use the images. I will admit that it's nice that the lens came with a hood and for the price it's not bad. The plastic construction makes it feel really cheap (or light whatever way you want to take it). I would recommend this lens to anyone who needs something versatile and dispensable. I feel that if I were to be shooting in a mosh pit and this lens broke that it would be a small loss opposed to breaking a Canon lens worth at least twice the price. If you want to buy a similar lens that is superior to this lens I would suggest taking a look at the Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4 DG AF Lens for Canon. The quality of the images from that lens surpasses this Tamron lens. If that doesn't float your boat stick to the tride and true canon lenses.
Customer Review: Great Lens Great Price
I'm not a professional photographer but this lens works great for me. I love it! and would recommend to anyone looking for a great product at an affordable price

All digital images are made from grids of tiny squares (pixels) with most cameras using anything from 2 to 12 million (or 2 to 12 Megapixels). When you print your images, the most important thing is that the pixels must be so small that they are invisible to the naked eye. This prevents the print looking like a pattern of tiny squares giving the dreaded "fuzzy" or "pixellated" appearance but just how small do the pixels need to be?

Print resolution is measured using pixels or points per inch (ppi). The higher the ppi, the smaller the individual pixels in the image and the less likely you are to see them and the sharper the print will be.

A 100 ppi print has 10,000 pixels per square inch, which means that there are 100 ppi horizontally, and 100 ppi vertically. The consensus is that for true photographic quality you need to be printing at around 200 ppi, which corresponds to 200 x 200 = 40,000 pixels per square inch. This guide is based on viewing the prints from a distance of around 18 inches - the average viewing distance. If you are going to hang a print on the wall however, you can get away with much lower resolutions as you will be viewing it from a greater distance.

Images taken with a digital camera have a fixed, maximum number of pixels dependent on the CCD sensor chip of the camera. If your camera has a 5MP (5 million pixels) model you can easily work out the maximum print size by using the relationship:

Print size = number of pixels divided by the print resolution

So for a 5 million-pixel image at 200ppi (40,000 pixels per square inch) the maximum print area is:

5 Mp = 5,000,000 divided by 40,000 = 125 square inches, or roughly 10 x12 inches.

Similarly, we can calculate other sizes

3Mp = 3,000,000 divided by 40,000 = 75 square inches or roughly 10 x 8 inches

4 Mp = 4,000,000 divided by 40,000 = 100 square inches or roughly 10 x 10 inches.

6 Mp = 6,000,000 divided by 40,000 = 150 square inches or roughly 10 x 15 inches

8 Mp =8,000,000 divided by 40,000 = 200 square inches or roughly 12 x 16 inches.

If you have Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements or a similar program you can see all this worked out for you. Click on "Image" from the main menu and then on "resize image" and make sure the 'resample image' option is not ticked (click on it if it is ticked) and you will be shown the maximum print size that corresponds to your image.

Many people wonder why everyone quotes a recommended print resolution of 150-300 ppi when their inkjet printer has a maximum resolution of 2880 dpi or even higher. The reason is a simple one. Inkjet printers use tiny dots of ink in three, four, six or more colours to reproduce all the colours necessary to achieve a vast range of colours using complex 'dithering' patterns.

These dots are incredibly small. For example at 2880 dpi, there are over eight million dots in each square inch of the print. However, more than one dot is required to represent a single pixel, which is why printer resolution is dots per inch and print resolution is pixels per inch.

Now that you know how it all works, you will know how to determine the maximum print size you can achieve without running the risk of producing "fuzzy" prints.

If you like being able to make very large prints, it will also help you to decide the Megapixel value of your next camera. So if you like to regularly produce 12 x 16 inch prints that look fabulous, you may decide to purchase an 8 Megapixel model.

Lenmar DLC4L Lithium-ion Digital Camera/Camcorder Battery Equivelent to the Canon NB-4L Battery

NoMEM Lithium-Ion battery is the newest frontier in battery technology for power-hungry digital and high performance LCD type camcorders requiring a specially designed Lithium-Ion battery pack. It has the longest performance with no memory effect, highest quality Japanese made, original manufacturer approved protective circuit and it is 100% compatible with original equipment chargers.
Customer Review: NBL4 Backup battery
This battery is an excellent choice as a backup for a Canon made battery.Would purchase again.
Customer Review: is this a lenmar battery?
I thought that I purchased a Lenmar battery, but there are no manufacturer's identifying info on the case that appears to be a generic of a generic battery. I have yet to try it, so I have no idea whether it will be short-lived, great value, or not at all useful. Not as represented, but it could be fine or not.

Q:I wanted to know, can Lithium Ion batterys such be overcharged?

A:Normally Lithium Ion batteries will not be overcharged if you use the correct charger and follow the manufacturers recommendation.

Most systems have monitoring circuits to prevent overcharging and overheating. The Sony "InfoLithium" batteries and some of the Canon batteries have the circuitry necessary to monitor the battery as part of the battery.

It it not normally NOT a good idea to discharge Lithium Ion batteries. Just charge them as the manufacturer recommends.

Q:I understand that I can leave it on the charger, but what about partially charging it?Like if I were to charge a battery that still has power in it ex. 5 hour battery capacity, only 2 hours used, will the battery or camera know when to shut off charging to prevent *possible overcharging?

A:Yes, the battery/charger will know when to stop the charging. The Power/Charge lamp will blink when charging starts and when it has has completed the charge the Power/Charge lamp will go out. The charging time will depend on the current state of charge.

Q:How is this harmfull? In the past it was always ideal to fully discharge a battery before recharging, so I assumed with Lithium Ion you have the option to charge without fully discharging but I din't think that was preferable.

A:It has never been ideal "to fully discharge a battery" before recharging. If you are thinking of Ni-Cads, that is not true. The discharged state of a Ni-Cad is normally about 1.0 volts per cell. At that voltage level, most of the energy is spent. Discharging the battery further could damage it through cell reversal. That is why Ni-Cad cells are always connect in series and not in parallel (If engineered properly)

The same basically applies to Li-ion, Li-polymer, NiMH and Sealed Lead Acid batteries except that the minimum cell voltages may be different.

If your equipment properly monitors cell voltage and possibly cell temperature and disconnects at the appropriate level like many Li-ion, Li-polymer do, then there is no problem. They may say the battery pack is fully discharged, but it still contains energy and that energy can be easily measured.

Normally there is no benefit to discharge a Li-ion battery unless you are testing it to determine actually capacity, to predict death date when comparing to previous tests of the cell, or possibly discharging to approximately 50% capacity for long term storage. I don't think the average consumer wants to buy the appropriate test equipment and maintain battery performance logs on their batteries.

Thus my recommendation, buy one spare battery, charge as outlined in your manual, and go have fun with your batteries.

Customer Review: MP 970 So far great printer
I've had the printer about 2 months now and so far I like it very much. I haven't figured out how to scan directly from the printer yet, I have to do it from my computer, but its just that I haven't had the time to spend experimenting. Pictures are great but you need to use good photo paper like Canon or Kodak. Printing is high quality also. My former printer was a Lexmark 5200, and I have to say it did great at printing scanning and photos. My only problem was with the two tank ink, the photo's were not water resistent. But the MP970 makes excellent water proof photo's and I have used very little ink the cartridge indicators all still show full. It is not as big as many people have said. The dual paper feed really is a nice touch. I don't need a Fax which is the only downside , but if you don't need it why pay for something you won't use.Another great thing is my wife bought this for my birthday and 1 week later Amazon had it at a lower price, $30.00 lower and they credited her Charge card immediately upon request.
Customer Review: Canon Printer
So far the printer has worked very well. Quality of copies and photos are far better than our old printer.

High Definition television normally refers to any video system of higher resolution than the standard definition. The original high definition specifications date back to the early 1980s, when Japan first experimented with a 1025 line television standard. The signals for high definition require a high definition television or a computer monitor in order to be watched or viewed. High definition will normally have an aspect ratio of 16:9. The aspect ratio of the regular wide screen film that is shot today is normally 1:85:1 or 2:40:1. The standard type of television has a 4:3 aspect ratio. When high definition first unveiled the H3 to the market, it staged none of the over the top glitz or glamor many expected. Held at a tiny theater in Tokyo, the event barely even resembled a minor product launch. High Definition cameras also offers a memory stick setup system that memorizes various parameters and enables instant recall. Once you set up for the first time, it will remember the settings then go right back to the previous parameters at the touch of a button.

High Definition camcorders came out later on, which the ability to put them on your computer or even take your camera card to a local store and have the photos printed out on professional paper. Over the years, camcorders have evolved in so many ways that it is not even funny. These days, high definition video camcorders are dominating the market. They are relatively new and quickly catching on, giving you so much you can do with your camera. Unlike the past, camcorders are now capable of capturing full videos as well, proving that they are indeed capable of capturing any memory you can possibly imagine. On the other hand, if you take a lot of pictures and enjoy making videos, buying a camera may be the best option for you. Even though they cost a lot of money, these cameras are ideal for anyone who is seeking the absolute best in technology. These cameras are nothing like cameras of the past, as they can do so much more with a lot better quality.

Cameras that offer high definition are simply the best you can buy. They are obviously more expensive than digital camcorders, with some models reaching upwards towards 90,000 and above! These types of cameras are normally for professionals, as the average working man would never be able to afford such an expensive type of high definition camera. The average high definition video will run 800 and up. high definition camcorders offer you the chance to shoot high definition pictures and videos, and send them to friends or family. You can also save your shoots to disk or memory card, then take them with you everywhere you go.

The high definition is designed for a variety of remote acquisition applications, especially in television production for recording programs and for use as a weather or even traffic camera. The Pan Tilt Zoom can display images onto a large screen in auditoriums, teaching hospitals, sporting events, trade shows, and even concerts. This unit is also ideal for distance learning applications in which clear high definition images need to be projected onto electronic white boards during a presentation or other function.

Keep in mind that you need a powerful computer with a lot of memory to deal with the extra data and compression. Pinnacle for example, recommends a minimum 512 MB of RAM and a graphics card with 128 MB of RAM for standard resolution video. You can find plenty of software available that supports editing high definition videos. For example, the latest versions of Pinnacle Studio and Media Studio 8 can import and edit files in high definition format.

If you only plan to use your camera for a few days or just a short period of time, then renting may be your best option. Producers and professional photographers looking to take things to the next level, may choose rent a high definition video to test the waters before making the purchase. If you have never experienced high definition before, renting may be the best idea before you sink a ton of money into buying one of your very own.

Customer Review: i love the camera, but i'm realistic
i really do love this camera; it's great for flexibility and creativity. there's no doubt about that. but there are fair amount of cons: 1) can be VERY noisy since they cram so many megapixels on that smaller sensor 2) had to have it fixed when it first arrived because there were hot pixels in every picture 3) there is a design flaw in the lens. even though it is airtight, if there is ANY dust inside the camera to begin with, the movement of the lens creates a static charge that pulls the dust right into view and has become evident in several of my pictures i bought it for $430 brand new several months ago, but i think it's probably appropriately worth about $350. now that it's selling around $600 i would just get a lower megapixel DSLR that takes clearer pictures.
Customer Review: What's up with the price?
The Canon USA web site lists the suggested retail at $499.99 and one of the most popular online camera shops (B&H) is pricing it at about that. Why is it so much more than that from Amazon vendors?

Professional photographers rely on the flash on their camera to capture the action at a wedding or other social event. They are probably not aware of the effect of their flash on the faces of their subject. Here is an analysis of the effect of
different distances between the flash head and the lens.

The proper position of the flash is directly over the lens. This will ensure that any shadows from the flash will occur behind the head and body and not to one side. Of course, when shooting square format like Hasselblad, the flash can be fixed in that one position. For shooting with a rectangular format like Bronica ETR or Canon DSLR, the flash must be mounted on a swinging bar so that the flash can be positioned over the lens in either a horizontal or vertical shot.

I have determined through many tests that the ideal distance of the flash head above the lens is twelve inches. There are many advantages to using this distance. First, the unavoidable reflections on the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin are conducive to making the subject look good. The forehead reflection is positioned higher on the forehead, almost into the hair line and much diminished in strength. This leaves the flat portion of the forehead reflection free and retaining the natural color of the skin.

The shape of the nose is determined by the fall off of light along the sides and the position of the reflection on the bridge of the nose. When the flash is positioned closer to the lens, the bridge or indentation receives no highlight but rather the bony lower part of the nose is emphasized. The tip of the nose also benefits from the twelve inch distance of the flash head by appearing smaller and less intense.

Cheek reflections are considered acceptable when they are centered on the upper portion of the cheek. With a lower positioned flash head, the reflection highlight the unattractive line of muscle from the cheek to the nose. The twelve inch flash position also enhances the cheek bones. Chin reflections lower down on the point of the chin are unattractive and make the chin look wet. Alternatively, the twelve inch flash position just places a small crescent shaped highlight under the lip. An added benefit also occurs in the form of a more defined chin line and the placement of some double chins in shadow.

Those terrible eye glass reflections are greatly minimized with the twelve inch flash. The flash highlight now appears near the top of the eye glass, completely avoiding the area of the iris and pupil. The eyes are the most important feature of the face and ugly flash reflections can wipe out the eyes completely. An added benefit is a slight darkening at the bottom of the picture, enhancing the composition with a natural fade out.

Remember that since most natural light comes from a position over the horizon the most natural flash lighting will do the same for the face. Dont let convenience prevent you from capturing your flash subjects in the most attractive light.

Customer Review: Great Camera
I am not a professional photographer by any means, but am very handy with electronics. I wanted to get a "very nice" camera, but one that I would also be able to use. I purchased this camera the day before leaving to Thailand on my honeymoon. It was great, and the pictures (about 3000 over two weeks) turned out great! It was easy to use, durable and the pictures came out crystal clear. I read the manual over the 20+ hour flight and learned a lot about the features of the camera. It was comfortable in my hands, and I even taught my technologically deficient wife how to use it once I was comfortable with it myself! The pictures from our honeymoon were applied to my slideshow screen saver on my computer and as my friends looked at them, they thought the pictures looked like post cards, and didn't believe that we took the pictures and figured that the screen saver came standard on the computer! I will say this, originally I figured that the screen would have live viewing and you would not be forced to look through the eye piece (similar to most point-and-shoot cameras of today). However, it was not as annoying as I thought, and I'm not certain if any higher end SLR cameras have this feature (or at least any under $1000). Aside from that, the camertuwas greatlreic, red mu waw easy to use! I'm sure that there are 100's of features I'm not sure of how to use, but if I have up to it, I'm sure that I can figure it out. The manual constantly said that it's easier to use the automatic focus options, which I did, and had no complaints! I would recommend this camera to anyone that likes to vacation, or has children in sports and wants to take great pictures. This camera is one of the most recent to come out. And I cannot wait to get a higher zoom lens and a wide angle lens for Christmas! Hope this helps to the amateurs out there!
Customer Review: Awesome for the money spent
I couldn't be happier with this awesome camera. I was tempted to buy Canon D40, but after lot of thinking I wanted to concentrate on getting more by getting better lenses. I do not think I had to sacrifice - I just had to stick with my budget and this way I was able to get awesome camera and still money left buying better lenses!!!

Customized iPods come with many accessories including customized iPod chargers. If you leave home without a personalized iPod charger you are making a big mistake. Like any other accessory, iPod chargers are a must have if you like to listen to your music. When is the best time to buy a charger? The best time is when you can find promotional iPod chargers for sale, whether on the Web or as stand alone products at an electronics or computer outlet store.

iPod Chargers And Software

You can use branded iPod chargers from Apple to keep your iPod running for hours on end. Why would you want to do this? Most people take their iPod everywhere they go. Let's say you want to travel. There is no guarantee your iPod will remain charged the whole time you are gone. You need customized iPod chargers to charge your iPod so why wouldn't you keep a spare handy?

In fact, speaking of personalized iPod chargers it makes sense to always have at least 2 handy. That way you can keep one at home or work and one with you on the go so you can always charge your iPod at a moment's notice.

Many people choose to charge their iPod while working or when on their laptop. Customized iPod chargers tend to work well with iPod shuffles, the iPod nano and the iPod classic. You may need to get a branded iPod charger for the iPod touch as well, one of the latest products to come from Apple, Inc.

Just How Popular Is the iPod?

In case you don't have an iPod already and its accompanying iPod charger, why not? Just over 1.5 million people do and counting. The iPod is one of the hottest pieces of hardware to hit the market today.

Some of Apple's products have been the butt of some controversy of late. For example, there was a bit of a fuss when the iPod touch came out because some people (especially those with long nails) claimed the product discriminated against them because they couldn't "touch" the keys.

You know, if that is the case you are going to have to go and get a personalized iPod that does work for you. Just as you need a customized iPod charger to work with your hardware, you sometimes need personalized hardware to work with your body (or machinery). Not every piece of equipment manufactured by Apple Inc. or any other company is going to work for everyone. Find something that does, and go for it!

The best step you can take to improving your outlook is to enjoy the things that do work for you and forget about the rest. There are dozens of Mp3 players and versions of the iPod that work just fine for just about everyone. Why not try a few out and select the one that is made just for you? Undoubtedly manufacturers want everyone to buy their products, whether they have long or short nails, whether they are short or tall etc.

Stories of ordinary people becoming millionaires overnight with the help of some wonderful programs are flooding us from all directions and even though many of these stories are exaggerated at best and total lies at worst, there are many ways in which you can make money, even if you are not a unique talent. Well, I don't mean that photography does not require talent, but even beginner photographers can make money by selling their photos. Most likely you will not make your first million selling photos, but this is a viable way to earn some extra cash. Photos are a product and as with all products, you need to know what to offer and where to sell it.

What You Can Sell
For those people who have no idea about photography, a photo is just a photo, but for people who are familiar with photography and arts in general, there are separate distinct groups of photos. The most obvious distinction of photos is based on their content, but for the purposes of selling photos, this distinction is not as important as what the photo can be used for.

The two major uses of photos are for the Web and in print. Web photos tend to be low resolution and lower quality is acceptable for them, while print photos generally are high resolution and low quality is unacceptable. As a beginner photographer, you will most likely target the Web market first because the entry barrier there is not as high as with the printing market. Additionally, if your camera is not a high-end one, your skills in photo processing will hardly be able to compensate for this, so in this case, print photos are not an option for you because of technical reasons. This shouldn't discourage you because the Web market is vast and there is a lot of space for beginners.

The main buyers on the Web market are Web designers, who make sites for their clients. For many Web designers it is much easier and cheaper to buy ready-made photos than to take the pictures themselves. A solo Web designer can make 10 or even more middle-sized sites a month, which means that he or she will need at least 200-300 photos and illustrations. This does not mean that you will be able to sell 200-300 photos a month to each Web designer you contact, but even if you manage to sell him or her 10-20 photos a month, or more realistically a batch of several hundred photos for him or her to use in the next year, then you can make a lot of money.

Similar to other arts, photography also has genres. Not surprisingly, photos of people, nature and cities sell best. Another category, which is especially popular with designers, is objects of different kinds. You can shoot a light bulb, a pen, some pills, or whatever object you choose, and this may be enough. Add some unobtrusive background to it and you get a cool photo for a Web site. But be careful with copyrights because not all manufacturers will be happy if you shoot their products and make money from this. Try shooting generic products, which have no visible branding.

Similar copyright issues apply to people. If you want to shoot people and you want to be on the safe side, ask them to sign a model contract, which clarifies all the issues in regard to copyrights and sales. Very often you won't have to hire professional models and you can shoot your friends and relatives instead. Your models don't have to be extremely beautiful because pictures of ordinary people also sell well. Shooting friends and relatives has one more advantage - they work cheaply or free.

Nature and urban photos are always in demand, but avoid photos which look as if they were taken by tourists because they simply look too unprofessional to be sold. Abstractions are also popular, so if you are creative with PhotoShop or another image processing program you can wake up the Picasso in you.

Where You Can Sell
The type of photos you have is one of the major factors in choosing your sales channels. Basically, the options to sell your photos are the following:

  1. Stock photo sites. Stock photo sites are the most popular sales channel. Stock photos are photos you have already taken, i.e. you have in stock. You open an account with a stock photo site, upload your images and every time somebody downloads your photo, you earn a commission. Different sites have different policies, but it's not unusual to earn $40 per photo each time it is downloaded. If your photos are popular, it is not impossible to reach dozens of downloads per week. One of the prerequisites for success is to submit sought after photos and to use the right keywords in the descriptions of your photos. The best stock photo site I have found is Shutterpoint. They provide photographers an e-commerce store-front for selling photos, handle advertising and promotion, handle all purchase transactions, provide customer service, and securely deliver images to buyers. All of these features are provided for a very reasonable fee, and in addition, other members often provide valuable feedback on your photos. This is a great way to begin your career as a professional photographer.
  2. Stock agencies. Stock agencies are similar to stock photo sites, but in addition to listing your photos, they consult buyers and handle all the legal and logistical matters. Stock agencies usually deal with professional photographers mainly but there are stock agencies, which are beginner-friendly. As with stock photo sites, you usually have to decide (if you have the choice of course) whether you want to sell exclusive rights or only per use rights.
  3. Sell directly to newspapers and magazines. Although this is hardly the easiest way to sell your photographs, it is worth trying. Newspapers and magazines are a very tough market to get into but can be a very high paying one. For a start, you can try your local or community media.
  4. eBay and similar auctions. Auction sites, such as eBay, are one more sales outlet you can try. Yes you really can earn decent income from selling photos on eBay This is a good alternative if you sell other products in addition to photos, but even if photos are the only thing you sell, eBay and the other auction sites can do a lot for you. Make sure to avoid small and dark photos. Listings should be created which are descriptive and include realistic prices. Check the Completed Listings option when searching to see examples of photos which have sold.
  5. Freelance sites. Unlike the other options listed up to here, freelance sites are generally a place for work for hire projects. This means that usually a buyer comes and asks you to make some photos especially for him or her, but very often there are buyers who offer to purchase your already made (or stock) photos as well.
  6. Your own website. Even if the other options work great for you, having your own website is a valuable sales channel. You can offer everything you like - i.e. low resolution mockups for free, paid downloads, etc. The downside is that you need to market your site, otherwise you will hardly get much traffic and, respectively, sales. Search engine optimization is a must and if you are really serious about selling your photos via your website, you can even consider starting an affiliate program.
  7. Free samples. These days advertisements are something one can hardly sell without. Instead of launching an expensive campaign, you can give photos away for free but keep your logo on them. This is a kind of advertisement and it will bring you new customers.

Canon produces SLR lenses that are without doubt among the best in their category class. Quality, reliability and robustness ensure that Canon lenses are the choice of professionals and deliver dependable results.

There is an active second hand and used lens market on the internet that offers the buyer a great opportunity to buy, trade and recycle Canon camera lenses. Professional grade Canon lenses are designed and manufactured with precision in mind. So, buying second hand lenses is a real viable option. However, any online purchase must be accompanied with the necessary research.

Sale and buy prices for second hand and used Canon camera lenses are relatively stable. Especially if the previous owner has given due care to the lens. This means that when you use the second hand market for buying and selling your Canon lenses, the benefits of the upgrade or recycle outweigh the costs involved.

In this light, it is recommended to consider utilizing Ebay type affiliate sites for researching and comparing second hand Canon SLR lenses. For example a site such as CanonCameraLenses presents live Ebay listings. The benefits of this type of website is the ease of navigation compared to Ebay proper.

The Ebay category system can sometimes be confusing for ;both browsing and searching. While Ebay type affiliate sites are designed to present listings pinpointed on specific niches.

So, when the time is right to upgrade or trade your Canon camera lenses, consider using the safe environment of an Ebay powered niche affiliate website. Enjoy and benefit from the 20-30 percent discount off the price of new Canon Lenses. And with a little careful research, the second hand lens market will provide an ongoing resource for future upgrades and recycling of your Canon SLR camera lenses.

Customer Review: Great camera
I bought this Olympus 770 as a replacement for my last Olympus 770. (Note to self... they are water prrof, but they don't float) I love this camera. I have taken it to Alaska in the cold and rain, fishing in Chile, and out on my jet ski. It takes great pictures. Can't zoom in real close. Can't see in the view finder in the bright sun, but otherwise, it's great for travel and outdoors. Just remember when you're going down a river, have it hooked tightly to you.
Customer Review: Very good, not great
A lot of settings between the programming for the AUTO or PROG or the SCeeN selections. I don't pretend to know all the ins and outs yet. Use the SHQ setting even though it has the same resolution as the HQ. Video shots were all boating (LOTS of background noise) so I can't comment on sound quality. A couple small splashes on the lens left no spots that needed cleaning. Small and slim also means not very easy to grip with one hand while driving boat (not impossible). The battery life was great. We probably took 80 pictures and 4 minutes worth of video clips on vacation and still took another 20 dog pictures when we got home before needing to use the second battery we bought. Not much warning on the battery life like my Sony which estimates the minutes left on the charge. Sunset pictures on the water were grainy using the HQ quality with no flash holding it by hand. A tripod is needed for evening shots or manually adjust the "shutter" speed (I haven't even tried that yet). Very good for a hack like myself and if I took the time to really learn it I might upgrade my review to great.

As someone who has frequently used noise canceling headphones onflight, I truly attest to the claim that they can indeed make your flying experience a lot more welcoming. At least for now, I don't have to live with the incessant hissing from the drone of the aircraft engine, the humming of the fans or other irritating noises coming from the surroundings while I laze in my economy seat.

It seemed incredible but this is actually made possible by simple audio technology. Microphones in the noise canceling headphones send out sound waves to combat noise whenever they detect its presence. In fact, on most airlines, they actually distribute noise canceling headphones to their guests on business and first class!

Well, instead of paying two or three months of your salary to purchase a business or first class ticket, here's another cheaper option. Get a pair of noise canceling headphones yourself! But with so many brands and even models available, which should you go for?

Frankly, it depends. I'll recommend that you go through these 4 considerations and do some research before you narrow down to the exact set that fits your criteria. Have fun picking the cherries!

(1) Budget

Naturally, all of us will like to get the best quality headphones. That is, if price is not an issue. But the truth is, money does matters. After all, the cost of a set of high end noise canceling headphones such as Bose Quiet Comfort series can cut you back by a hefty $300 or more. Hence, before deciding other form factors or criteria which I'll be discussing later, it's imperative that you decide the amount you're willing to spend. That will in turn help you narrow down to the brands and models to review.

For example, if your budget is about $150, you may want to consider only brands like Sennheiser which has an excellent series of noise canceling at that price. Brands like Bose would be of a less likely consideration since they would probably cost you much more than that.

(2) Noise Canceling & Sound Quality

What good is a pair of noise canceling headphones if it doesn't perform well in that department? You might as well get use a conventional set of headphones! Your personal preference for the extent of the noise cancellation onflight and the quality of the sound experience can easily influence your decision on the headphones to select.

For example, if you're someone particular about the enjoying your music onflight, getting a higher end set can be just a thin line separating heaven and earth!

(3) Comfort

Noise canceling headphones are usually wore for a stretched period of time, depending on the duration of your flight. They can be a strain if the headphone cups are too tight over the ears. On the other hand, if they're too loose, you probably have to prop them up everytime you lower your head! Put it simply, we want something that gives the right fit.

A rule of thumb is to ensure that the cups of the headphones go over your ears instead of on them and give a nice fit without losing too much coverage on the sound. At the end of the day, I'll rather pay more for a pair noise cancelling headphones which scores well in the comfort department than something that's less expensive but totally unbearable.

(4) Size

Is the headphone easily portable and foldable into a storage box for easy retrieval? Can the storage box be small enough to fit into your handcarry bag? At first glance, these seemed to be minor considerations. But for road warriors, this can matter a lot since every inch of space counts in their luggage. Trust me, I'm speaking from personal experience!

Canon 430EX Speedlite Flash for Canon Pro1, Pro 90, G Series and all EOS SLR Cameras

This exciting new addition to the EOS System combines compact size and affordability with an added dose of features and sophistication. Improving on the previous model, Speedlite 420EX, the new 430EX can now be set into manual flash mode (full power~1/64). Flash compensation can be set on the flash unit, and manual control of the flash zoom head is now possible. Improvements in its circuitry make recycle time 40% faster, and since it is compatible with Canon's wireless E-TTL, it can be used as an affordable "slave unit."
Customer Review: Love it so far
Unfortunately, haven't had as much time to use it as I would have hoped, but from what I've seen so far, I love it. Easy to use. Great quality pictures. The light quality is good; doesn't give you that blast of harsh light like the on camera flash. I tend to like the more golden pics in low light and this seems to maintain some of those tones when bouncing off ceiling. It does make the camera a little xtra heavy though - really noticed it when I put on my zoom lens. That will take some getting used to...and a little muscle building :). Once I get to use it a little more, if there's anything to report, good or bad, I'll check back in.
Customer Review: FLashiness
I am very happy with this flash. Very bright when needed does what it suppose to do. I am not a professional photograher but don't have to be to use this flash works on my S9 as well as my XSi with no hesitation. Reasonably priced highly recommend especially if you aren't wanting to sink the money into the 580 EX.

The photography world is broken down into two main categories - retail and commercial.

Retail generally involves wedding, family, school and pet portraits, while commercial photography encompasses photography tailored specifically to support the marketing/advertising/investor relations efforts of business concerns.

Most retail photographers are generally not well equipped or experienced with high pressure annual report shoots, architectural photography, product illustration or location photography.
If you are in the market for a commercial photographer, there are a number of elements to consider.

Decide what type of commercial photography you will require. Are you looking for architectural photography or trying to illustrate a service? Are you shooting on location or do you need a studio setting? Are you focusing on people or products?

Find a photographer. Word of mouth referral, especially in the communications community, is probably one of the best ways. If you need someone in another city or you have very specialized needs, you can Google or Yahoo your search terms and/or check local chapters of the International Association of Business Communicators, American Advertising Federation or other local creative directories.

Request For Proposal. Provide a list that is as specific as possible delineating the photo shoot objectives shot by shot. Will all the shots be in the same building or area? Will some of the shots be off site? Are there any time constraints that need to be communicated? How soon will you need the finished images? Does the vendor have the technical knowledge to shoot to specifications provided by the client home office? Does the vendor have the bandwidth to take on your project and fulfill it within your expectations?

Post Production. Inquire about editing . . . is it a separate line item on the estimate? Is cropping included . . . web optimization? Will the photographer post the images to his or her website for convenient timely review?

A site visit. If possible, have the photographer do a site visit prior to the shoot. You will gain immensely in quality of the images, execution, and potentially more set- ups, by utilizing the walk-through as a dress rehearsal for the real shoot.

Usage rights. If there is any standard criteria here it's that there is no standard. Generally, if there is no agreement in advance of the photo shoot, the photography vendor controls and has legal right to the intellectual property value of the images. This is a critical issue to discuss up front - decide in advance what you think your project might require in the way of usage and consider asking for a buyout or unlimited use clause in your agreement. Expect to pay an additional line item for this privilege.

Model Releases. Double check that the employees being used in the photographs have release forms on file as part of their employment process with your company. If you are not sure, have them sign another one. This could protect you down the road if a terminated unhappy employee finds an eager attorney that is willing to sue for non-authorized use of their likeness. If you have contractors in your images, make sure you get a signed release form.

Digital capture. Most high-end pros will provide a 4000 pixel file that may have an image size somewhere around 10" x 15" @ 300ppi. Will that be sufficient for your output needs?

Finally...Don't base your decision solely on the estimate. Use phone interviews with the vendors and ask specific questions about how they work. Does the vendor have good people skills? Are they punctual? Do they have enough experience to solve problems on the photo shoot? Do they have prominent tattoos or body piercings anywhere?

Oh yeah, one more thing. The ultimate question - aside from the vendor's expertise, will this person work well with me, keep on schedule and deliver the images when I need them, keeping me informed via email and phone. If the answer is yes, sign off on the agreement and expect the best! Good luck.

Aside from that, the camera was great, pictures were great, and it was easy to use!

When models of devices like the ipod shrink, you can be sure their features are as good as those of their bigger-size predecessors if not better. The general tendency in modern design, whether it is about furniture or labour-saving devices is to reduce the space such items need in order to function. Who wants to cram the house with huge elements that will never do more than their smaller counterparts can? This is true for fashion accessories like wrist-watches, handbags and many more. Why load your pockets and shoulders for no reason?

The Apple iPod Mini, which is sized and priced between the original iPod and lower-capacity flash players, retains many of the features that its larger 'brother' provides. Weighing no more than 3.6 ounces, it is also a very small player (3.6/2.0/0.5 inches HWD) compared to the original iPod which was about the size of a deck of cards. Its hard drive capacity of 4GB can hold about 1,000 songs. If you are into tiny technology, the Apple iPod Mini is your perfect choice but if you want a higher song capacity, you had better go for something else. Moreover, the price of the Mini iPod is far too high for the memory it offers.

The modifications that the original Apple iPod underwent for the Mini model to be launched include the controls as well; the four buttons were relocated underneath the click wheel which makes the device easier to handle with just a thumb. The much smaller LCD display is still readable though it has been reduced by 0.3 inches diagonally.

The battery life extends to almost eight hours which is not bad at all but the battery is not user-replaceable; the replacement service offered by Apple or third-parties will take care of that for the time being.

The Apple iPod Mini is very resistant to dirt and grime due to its anodized aluminium body and comes in a variety of metallic colours, with a simple belt clip and no wired remote. It is available with both a FireWire and OSB 2.0 cable which allows you to charge it over the USB connection.

Whether you have a Windows PC or a Mac, you can view your library by album, artist, play-list, song very easily. The Apple iPod Mini can also store various information and provides four preloaded games for you to have fun: Solitaire, Brick, Music Quiz and Parachute. However, the strongest point is probably the excellent iTunes 4 music management software from Apple.

There is nothing you would not dare do while keeping the Mini upon you. The neoprene armband will hold the unit securely while you are jogging or doing other similar activities. The skip protection will take care that your audition is always flawless.

Owners of the Apple iPod Mini don't seem to be very enthusiastic about the in-ear headphones. Though they come in three different size caps to fit anyone's ears, their sound completely lacks in bass and is rather shallow. Yet, the unit is very stylish and has already a lot of fans worldwide.

Luckily there are places on the web where cheap apple ipod mini can be found. Find cheap Apple Ipod mini here http://www.discount-mp3player.com/Apple-iPod/iPod-Mini
